Summary: AU this is my first try at this one. So at the moment I’ve been writing about a case study for my course; this makes me feel like I’m still doing uni work.
A/N - Sorry its taken a while to post anything for this story; I've got a couple chapters done so I'll put them up and see how it goes.
The ships engines roared awake; preparing to be used for the first time but the sound of the engine couldn’t be heard on the first class area of the ship. That’s supposed to happen; nothing is supposed to disrupt the first class passengers, there is a reason why there pay more money than the others.
Kevin entered his room and looked around; pleasant accommodations for the trip, though he wasn’t as impressed by Emily’ reaction. She seemed to enjoy the room and the status that came with being with Kevin than Kevin himself. Though he shouldn’t be so annoyed; at least she didn’t complain about his other activities, he knew she knew and she knew he knew as well. There arrangement was comfortable but she still annoyed him sometimes with her shallowness about everything; particularly possessions, he guessed it reminded him too much of his father. He knows he shouldn’t complain really considering the fact that his father gave him the luxury live style he was in now but it he doesn’t think that it gives the right to look down on anyone.
“Oh honey, it’s a lovely room, isn’t it?” Emily said smiling at Kevin.
“Yes, it is” Kevin agreed but didn’t say anything else; his mind had wandered to the face he saw earlier when Emily had said the word lovely. He was something to behold; it was a shame he looked like he was going into another entrance; wasn’t sure what class he would be in. Doubted he would see him again; the classes are usually kept apart in ships like this, at least that was experience. First class might be able to move freely through the ship but why would they; plus he would never be able to find one person among the thousands on board.
He signed and released he had been so busy in his own thoughts that he had missed what Emily had been saying and plus their luggage had arrived and the delivery must have already left; damn he had to be more careful.
“Emily, I’m going for a walk” Kevin said.
“I’ll come with you, honey” Emily said getting her purse.
“Okay” Kevin said not sure what else to say; he wanted to be by himself but he didn’t see a way out of it.
They went out of the room; locking it behind them and headed to the open space for the first class passengers and enjoyed the view; England starting to disappear from the landscape, it was breath-taking. It wouldn’t be long until they got to Cherbourg to pick up more passengers and then to Ireland before the real maiden voyage began.

Scotty looked around his quarters and sighed happy; he had stayed in some awful place while crawling up the ladder, noticing that with every promotion the room would improve slightly. This room was nice enough; small but didn’t look that he was sharing with anyone, meant that he might be able to have some company if he managed to find someone. It had been impossible on the other ships; plus he had to be careful about who he approached.
He looked at the bed and thought that it had been a while since he had been with someone; he pictured the man he had caught staring at him. What would he do to have that man in his bed right now?
God, he needed someone. That was the first guy in a while that had possible showed an interest but was he really interested or was he trying to catch him out. He thought about it for some time; first class passengers were more difficult to judge, being caution was the only way to be. Except that, that guy didn’t seem to be that caution; he was openly staring.
The thought pattern got interrupted when there was knock on the door. He went and answered it wondering who it could be.
“Hello” Scotty said when he saw someone on the other side of the door.
“Hi... um, I’ve been sent to see where you were?” The young boy said.
“I’m sorry?” Scotty said wondering why anyone would be sending for him so soon after leaving and then he looked at his watch and realized he must have got very distracted “Damn it” he said under his breath. He quickly grab his key and locked up and then ran to the kitchen hoping he won’t be in too much trouble but knowing he would be.

Kevin and Emily decided to explore the ship; it was supposed to be the largest ship in the world and they had travelled on many ships through their lifetime. It seemed so large from the outside and they wanted to determine if that was the case. Plus it had the advantage of figuring out where are swimming bath and gymnasium were; though they could ask and be taken directly to these place, Kevin enjoys to explore.
They were walking around the ship when Kevin saw a couple of individuals running through some doors; they stopped running when they saw people and started to speed walk instead to not cause a scene. One bad word from a first class passenger could ruin their reputation with the company and they might not be able to get a job in any ship again.
Kevin watched in amusement figuring out that they must be in a hurry and didn’t want to make a bad impression on him or Emily. Then it happened; he saw the second person in a hurry. He sucked in his breath in shock; it was the same guy again and he was more beautiful close up than he expected.
The guy was walking pass him and though you could tell he was in a hurry he stopped for a second and stared at Kevin. The type of pause stopping when you want to say something but don’t have the time; he walked quickly pass Kevin.
Kevin couldn’t help but look around and stare after the young man; he was surprised but glad when the man quickly looked back when he entered the door on the right saying staff entrance.
“Someone you know?” Emily asked curiously; noticing the interaction between the men.
“What” Kevin said and then realized he has to be more careful; what was he thinking; twice in the same day getting caught staring at this man “oh, no, at least I don’t think so, he looked familiar so maybe it’s possible that we went to school or something” explained hoping that Emily wouldn’t probe anymore questions.
“Oh, I get that sometimes. Thinking I recognize someone and then it turns out to be nobody” Emily says laughing.
Kevin smiles and fakes a laugh but inside is thinking that the man is definitely not a nobody.
