Summary: Kevin and Scotty see Michelle after she moved back to the city with her new boyfriend. Based after the last episode so 5.08
A/N Sorry guys – I’m finishing the story now; was going to be longer but I’m too busy currently; don’t like leaving where it is at the moment and don’t like leaving you guys waiting either. I know how much you guys love time jumps but only way I can see to end it now.
Six Months Later
Sam picks up the invitation he had received two months ago and smiled.
Mr. Kevin Walker and Mr. Scotty Wandell
Request the presence of Samuel New
On 1st July 2011 at Cafe 429
To celebrate their Recommitment to Each Other
He was getting ready for their big day thinking how much had changed in a short time; he used to work all the time and had no social life to speak of, now he still worked hard but he had a social life, great new friend and most importantly a gorgeous fiancée.
The trial was short lived; Michelle had pleaded guilty but as a first offence she only got 18 months imprisonment for kidnapping and was forced to pay pack the money that Kevin and Scotty had paid her with interest; though they didn’t really care about the money.
Steve was a different story; once he’d recovered from the bullet shot he was arrested for the kidnapping of the babies, for concealment of a gun (and having no licence for said gun), for the shooting of Scotty and the shooting of himself.
His lawyer had tried to plead that a reasonable man wound have reacted the same way and that meant that he wasn’t guilty. Sam shakes his head with laughter at this thought; Steve really should have gotten himself a better lawyer – one that might have gotten him to plead insanity instead; closer to the truth. The judge ended up throwing the book at him and gave him five years imprisonment for the kidnapping (for each baby), two years for concealment and no licence of the gun, and a life sentence (25 years) for each attempted murder charge with no chance of appeal for 30 years.
Sam came back to the present as the door opened and his fiancée walked in.
“Honey, are you ready?” Shelly said smiling “we have to leave soon” as she came over and gave Steve a quick kiss.
“Shouldn’t that be my question” Sam asks “aren’t women are known to always take longer getting ready?” laughing.
“True” Shelly said laughing “We do but you have this tendency to not know where your car keys are or not have the invite or forget something until we actually need it” she said it smiling but you could see the love in her eyes and the love returned by Sam.
“Haha, very fun” Sam said looking for his keys around the room and realising that she was right “By the way, how did go?” Sam asked curious about her meeting yesterday; they hadn’t talked about it last night.
“Good, went exactly as we hoped” Shelly said smiling; it was the best news that she could have got, especially for today.

Jordan’s Place
Scotty awoke; feeling happy and excited about the day ahead. He looked around and remember that he was at Jordan because everyone insisted that Kevin and Scotty should be kept separate the night before their ceremony; even when they were already married. Kevin was staying at Nora’s and the twins were being looked after by Sarah and Luc; it was the first night away from them and they were nervous but getting through it.
He was excited about the ceremony and the additional news that they got yesterday and were waiting until after the ceremony to tell everyone.
He smiled at the memory.
“Hey, you up now” Jordan said making sure the Scotty was ready for his big day “you nervous?” he asked grinning.
“No, don’t have reason to be; I’ve done this before” Scotty said with a grin on his face.
“Well, everything is ready at the cafe; just came back from there. Now my job is to make sure the groom gets there; you know as a best man should. Just as Justin is doing for Kevin” Jordan said smiling and showing his bright white teeth.
“Now, drink up and get ready” Jordan said handing him a cup of coffee.
Scotty took at sip of the coffee and looked at Jordan “Thanks for this and for always being there. I know I didn’t deserve it last year” cringing at the memory of the night he called it Jordan in tears.
“Hey, don’t think about that” Jordan said knowingly “Kevin has forgiven you and today is the biggest proof you can get of that forgiveness. He would have never asked you if he didn’t mean it” Jordan said now knowing how his mindset worked. Kevin had even forgiven Jordan for knowing as well; Scotty was right all along, Kevin has the biggest heart of anyone he knew.
“Yeah I know” Scotty said thinking about the how he woke up in the hospital and the first thing he said was “That sounded like a proposal to me” and it really had but he had been surprised by Kevin’s response.
He had looked at Kevin’s face and seen the surprise reaction in Kevin’ face and then they stayed in an embarrassed silence for a few moments before Kevin spoke.
“I would you know, marry you all over again” Kevin said hesitantly with a small smile on his face. “I know the last year hasn’t been easy for us but I love you; you’re it for me. You are everything I ever wanted. From the first moment I meet you I was hooked; I want you all to myself” Kevin smiled at the memory.
“We took awhile to really get it together; and that was both of our faults. But we worked hard at our relationship and I know we lost each other recently but we keep finding our way back to each other. If we had to do all over again I would; so my question is would you do it again” Kevin said getting braver with each word “Will you marry me again”.
Scotty looked at the smile on Kevin face and knew that the words were true and he said the only thing he could in that situation “Yes, of course, I marry you again” Scotty said sitting up carefully; he was still in some pain, Kevin lent down and they shared a very chaste kiss and broke apart kissing.
“Scotty” Jordan yelled bringing Scotty back to the present, once he had Scotty attention he asked “Where did you go; you just spaced out”.
“Just remembering when Kevin proposed to me again in the hospital” Scotty said smiling and Jordan smiled as well; he heard the story.

Nora’ Place
Justin had slept over at Nora’s as well and had woken up earlier to help with the set up as well at the cafe. Anything was going well and now he was back at his mum’s place to check on Kevin.
He took a cup of coffee up to his brothers’ old room and knocked gentle; when he didn’t get an answer he opened the door and found Kevin fast asleep. He laughed as he remembered Kevin was never one for an early morning.
Kevin woke up to the laughter and looked at the entrance to the door “Justin, that had better be coffee or I’m going to kill you” he said half angrily and have full of sarcasm.
“Here you go” Justin said walking over to the bed and handing him the coffee.
Kevin looked at Justin and could tell he was about to say something “Don’t ask me if I’m nervous. That is for people that aren’t already married; I’m excited and we have some news to tell everyone” Kevin said slightly guilty about telling Justin they had news.
“News, what news” Justin asked curiously and the guilty look on Kevin’ face “You have a secret” Justin guessed.
“Yeah” Kevin admitted “but one I’m not telling you about. Not until after the ceremony” Kevin concluded.
“Like you can keep a secret that long” Justin said laughing.
“Of course I can” Kevin countered “Just when they are important” Kevin laughed and Justin joined in. He smiled at the memory of yesterday and the how happy they were with the outcome and the judge’s decision.

Cafe 429
People had been arriving for awhile; the cafe was closed for the day and the table and chairs had moved; the chairs were now lined up in rows waiting for people to sit; The only spaces that were left free were those at the front for Kevin’ family and Scotty’ family.
The chairs were filling up quickly with guests as Saul and Nora looked around; they saw people they recognised such as Mario, Quinn, Sam and Shelly and then people that they presumed must be friends of Kevin and Scotty.
Nora saw Sarah and Luc enter with the Paige and Cooper at their side and one baby in each arm; they were followed shortly by Kitty and Tommy (who had flown down that day), Rose (his new girlfriend) and Elizabeth. Everyone was chatting and catching up when Nora and Saul went over to join in with the conversation; really Nora wanted to see her grandchildren, it would be the first time they were all together in such a long time.
It was 1 o’clock and the ceremony was about to beginning; everyone had been seated, the Walkers had taken up the first two rows on one side of the path up to the altar and Wally, Moira, Mario and Quinn and a few of Scotty’s friend had taken up to other side. Bertha had again declined the invite to the ceremony but Scotty had been thrilled when Wally had accepted and had been so happy he had been invited especially after last time.
Some music started to play; people turned their heads as Saul walked down the aisle and up to the altar, where he was to conduct the ceremony; he had been so honoured when Kevin and Scotty had nervously asked him to perform the ceremony.
Saul was followed by Justin and Jordan taking their place as the best man on either side of Saul and watched on as Scotty emerged from one side of the cafe and walked down the aisle and was followed a minute later by Kevin.
Once Kevin was next to Scotty, Scotty grabbed hold of Kevin’s hand and quickly whispered “You look gorgeous” and got a whispered “Don’t look too bad yourself” from Kevin.
Saul looked at the whispered conversation and then back to everyone else “We are gathered here today to witness the recommitment of Kevin and Scotty together. They have been through so much since they have met and they have come out stronger for it” everyone smiled, Nora still remembering how she had once said that she thought they had the best relationship she knew and she still now believed it.
She focused back onto the speech the Saul was giving “Love in any shape or form should be celebrated and that is what we are here to do today; to celebrate the love between Kevin and Scotty” Saul concluded.
“Now as some of you may remember from their first ceremony these two forgot their rings” Saul said and received some nods and amused faces “So, they have gotten new rings to refresh their commitment together” and that was Justin and Jordan queue to step forward and hand the new rings to Kevin and Scotty.
“Kevin please place the ring on Scotty’s finger” Saul said.
“Scotty please accept this ring as a symbol of my deepest love and affection” Kevin said as he put the ring on Scotty’s finger. They had decided to keep and say the same vows they had originally done.
“Scotty please place the ring on Kevin’s finger” Saul said.
“Kevin please accept this ring as a symbol of my deepest love and affection” Scotty said with so much joy.
“I now pronounce you recommitment to each other” Saul said wondering if it would have been better to say married but just left it at that “you may now kiss each other.
Kevin and Scotty smiled as they moved towards each other for a very loving but innocent kiss.
The rest of the ceremony went perfectly and when it was drawing to a close Kevin and Scotty decided it was time for their announcement.
They both went up to where the altar had been placed for the ceremony and had their babies in their arms.
“Excuse me” Kevin said and once he had everyone’s attention he continued “Scotty and I have an announcement to make. As you all will know we went through a difficult time a few months ago and found out some difficult information. So after a lengthy case at court and with the help of Shelly we have been able to change the names of our babies. So we wanted you to officially meet our sons Luke and Matthew Walker-Wandell” and there was a round of applause from everyone.
“One more little change in the names of people has occurred” Scotty said continuing from where Kevin left off and this got everyone’ attention; some people had been expecting the announcement about the babies but were now curious about what else could be going on.
“We had already choosen the first names before the twin were born; what we couldn’t agree on we the last name” Scotty smiled as people laughed “Once we had decided on the surname of Walker-Wandell we had decided that we wanted our children to be recognised and feel like they belong somewhere. So that being said both Kevin and I have changed our surname to Walker-Wandell” Scotty said waiting for response.
There was stunned silence for a second or two as everyone processed the information; then they was another round of applause louder than before; with a few people saying it was about time.

You have such a great plot and I even love your OC, good Sam and bad Steve! Can't hurt them properly without some good bad guys, right!? (Jeez.. I feel so wrong saying that! LOL)
I'm sorry I didn't write earlier. But I really wanna let you know that, I love how you write about what everybody went through in the hospital after Scotty's shot, the Walkers (of course esp. Kevin), Scotty's friends (esp. Jordon) and Wally (happy that he's able to attend the ceremony time time).
