Summary: Are Kevin and Scotty destined to be together? 

Written for Love Bingo - Prompt - Seeing Other People

Scotty knew he was attracted to Kevin; literally from the moment that they meet. He couldn’t believe that over the years he hadn’t realized that he was attracted to guys. He knew that Jessica was beautiful but anyone could tell that.

When he was with Kevin though; there was a desire like no other. Nothing had happened between them. They had met up with each of a few times a week over the last month; Kevin hadn’t pushed anything between them, especially since Kevin didn’t think it was fair on Jessica.

But they couldn’t help the desire that he felt for Kevin and it was obvious that the feelings were mutual; Kevin had shown that from the moment they met. Scotty was hesitant though; he never thought of himself with another guy and it definitely wasn’t part of his plan. Though he was starting to discover that maybe he didn’t need a plan, maybe, just maybe, he should live life. He couldn’t help how he felt and he was tired of trying to annoying or avoid it; he wanted it to be out in the open.

So, he made his way over to Jessica’s place; they never had actually moved in together, which after five years was slightly weird in his opinion. He wasn’t expected tonight but he knew it couldn’t wait any longer either.

He has a key to the apartment so he opens it up and is shocked to hear the music on something romantic and the giggling that comes with it. She must have some company Scotty thought.

Nothing prepared him from walking in on Jessica with another guy on the sofa; half naked he sees. He clears his throat; now that it’s evident that Jessica doesn’t really care about Scotty this talk should be easier. The couple jump apart with shock and Jessica quickly tries to defend her actions; though Scotty waves her away.

“It’s okay Jessica!” Scotty said “I came here to tell you that I don’t think we are working anymore; that we should maybe see other people; glad to know that you already have” he said angrily “at least I would have broken up with you; it’s the decent thing to do rather than sneaking around” he was upset with Jessica; he thought that they meant more to each other than this.

“Scotty” Jessica started “I’m really sorry”

“Yeah” Scotty said I he started to turn away “me too”

“Scotty, wait” Jessica said and stopped Scotty; turning him around “you know you haven’t touched me in a month” Scotty shook his head; it can’t have been that long “well you haven’t and even beforehand it was never well as passionate as it is with Andrew” she turned and pointed at the man who looked uncomfortable “I hope that whoever it is; you’ll be happy with them” she had said her because she knew that it was Kevin; the way he spoke about it showed his real feelings.

“You too, Jessica” Scotty said sincerely; now that he knew what he wanted he wanted Jessica to have the same. They exchange back their keys and promised to keep in touch; even if it was to jus give back each others’ property.

Scotty left Jessica’s place in a good mood and called the number he had wanted to since he knew that his relationship with Jessica was over.

It rang twice before it was answered “Kevin...” all Scotty could do was smile.
