Disclaimer: Not mine. Just messing with the characters if B&S
Summary: I’ve fixed season five of B&S. If the writers can go all silly with the show then so can I. Btw I actually liked some of the SL just some of the writing didn’t gel with me.

A/N - so this might not be what you expected but it's what came out. Anyway, I'll probable be disappearing for a while now; laptop has broke which is where I prefer to do my writing and I've been offered a company internship instead of a dissertation which will involve a lot more work. Ah well, I'll try and appear at some point.

Two years later

These last two years had planned out different than those that Scotty remembered but he recognised factors of his dreams that did come true. At first it felt like a premonition but he realized only parts of the dream were happening; the dreams were catalyze for change.

Justin still went off to war for a year; it was what he needed; once he came back he started his education and training into become a paramedic immediately. He had thought about it whilst he was in the war and researched it and felt that it was a great job choice for him. It involved healing people and working as part of a team which is all he ever wanted to do. He also couldn’t stop thinking about Tyler either so when he got back he looked her up and found out that she was going through a divorce; they started to date soon after that and a few months later Justin asked Tyler to marry him, with of course the answer being yes.

Which explained why he was standing up with Kevin and Tommy as best men for Justin; he looked around at the guest of the wedding, his eyes stopping on Michelle. He smiled at her and she grinned back. It was a difficult situation to get past; his lack of trust in Michelle had to be dealt with and so Kevin and Michelle concerned him one day a few weeks after he was released from the hospital. They said the situation was ridiculous and that things had to be sorted out before they got worse; Scotty kept avoid Michelle.

“Scotty” Kevin said slowly “I’ve let this go on for too long. Now talk” he ordered.

Scotty looked at the concerned faces of his husband and his best friend “but what if it comes true” he whispered.

“What comes true?” Michelle asked even more concerned than before.

“Scotty, tell her” Kevin said gently knowing it had to come from Scotty.

“You stole our baby” Scotty said not even looking her.

“I did what, I don’t understand” Michelle said looking from Kevin to Scotty.

“It’s part of the brain injury from the car crash; he played out two years of our lives in his head. It’s called dream sequences; it’s rare but it can happen but it doesn’t mean that it will occur again” Kevin explained to Michelle and she looked horrified.

She went and sat next to him and hugged him tightly until he relaxed in his arms “I stole your baby in the dream world” and she felt he nod against him “Scotty, look at me” and she waited until he looked at her “you’re my best friend, I volunteered to do this for both of you” she said point at him and Kevin “I would never do that” she said seriously.

“But, you thought you were his mother and you told us that you had a miscarriage” Scotty said trying to reason with what he knows was an unreasonable situation.

“Miscarriage” Michelle said carefully “then you really were dreaming, don;t you think if I had a miscarriage that you and Kevin not to mention the rest of the Walkers would be around me in a heartbeat and that would occur AT A HOSITPAL” she said the last words like she was talking to a crazy person; which to be fair and this point she really could be.

He started to shake at this point and it took a minute to realize that he was laughing; he turned to Michelle “I’m sorry” Scotty said “I’m sorry for how I’ve been reacting to this; forgive me” and they gave each other a quick peck on the lips; a sweet gesture between friends.

“And I’m sorry too” Michelle said “for acting that way in your dream” she said roughing his hair with her fingers and giggling “if I want a baby I could go out and have one but I don’t I want a business and you guys are helping me with that and I’m helping you with this. We’re both getting our dreams from the situation; why else would I sign a contract; you idiot” she said playfully.

“I don’t think the contract was mentioned again” Scotty said thinking about his dream.

“Well” Kevin said coming to the other side of Scotty “that proves it was a dream; because it would be the first thing that I would have mentioned if we found out Michelle” looking over his shoulder and winking at her “stole our baby”.

“You did mention so lawyer stuff” Scotty said smiling.
“Come her silly” Kevin said and the three of them sat there in a three way hug until it got to uncomfortable and they had to move.
Michelle was sitting with baby Lucas Daniel Walker-Wandell (Scotty still wanted the name Daniel but they had decided on Lucas beforehand so it became a second name). Everything at the birth had gone well and Michelle had become an honouree Auntie to Lucas and a go to person to call for babysitting. The weird thing was that he looked exactly as he remember; maybe it was just the genes but he was happy to hold on to that thought.
He looked to his left and to Tommy; he hadn’t changed much of the last two years, not that he would notice really. He was still in Seattle and got Elizabeth every other weekend and some nights now as well; once Julia really started to trust him again. Tommy had also admitted that they had gone on a couple of dates recently; he was hopefully that they were rebuilding their relationship, very slowly but he didn’t want to give up hope.
He turned his eyes around when the music started up but before his eyes reached the aisle he saw Nora and Saul sitting together with their partners on either side them. They were both happy in their relationships. Saul had been terrified about admitting his HIV status to the guy he liked didn’t need to be; though they had a few bumps along the way the man had accepted it and choose to stay by his side in all of it, though he still didn’t seem to be showing any symptoms. Nora (he laughed), she had got back on the wagon, so to speak, with dating but this guy, he seemed more promising than the last one; he loved to cook for her and look after her, which is so different than the last few guys. This was something he recognises in the made up character of Brody; someone who would put her first finally.
His eyes went to the little girl walking down the aisle; someone that had recently come into their lives; once he realized and accepted that Olivia wasn’t real and with his discussion with his psychologist he knew he had a desire to grow their family. He talked to Kevin about adopting a child from the social service; though they had to wait until Daniel was at least one to act on anything official. Melissa was walking down the aisle in her flower girl outfit; she had become part of the family now as soon as they meet her he wanted to adopt her. She was six years old, nervous but hopefully about living with them and like Olivia she couldn’t read when she moved in (maybe he had read that somewhere) and was very creative too. They were still going through the adoption procedures but there didn’t seem to be any problems and so they were going to have a daughter as well as a son. Next to her was Paige; she had turned out to be exactly like he dreamed; still smart, enjoyed fashion and was become popular.
The next two walking down the aisle was individuals he knew but not that well; they were friends of Tyler. The following pair was his sister-in-laws walking side by side. These two had changed the most over the last two years from what he remembered about the dream.
Kitty’s health was good still; no problems. Still was in counselling to cope with Robert’s death; it took a while to convince her she needed it and lately she had started to try dating again though she still found it difficult to do; part of her felt like she was cheating on him. Especially since the last blind date she had was with Alec; she had difficult time admitting that herself that she enjoyed herself and had set up another date. Her career on the other hand she gives credit to Scotty; for mentioning the guest lecturing, which she did last year and then became a full time lecturers this year teaching about politics and radio communications; she loved it.
On her other side Sarah had a difficult first year after the accident; she failed to communicate with Luc time and time again, she felt that because he was in the accident he didn’t understand what she or the family was going through. He left back to France about six months later; though she was glad they had given it another go, she realized that they still failed to communicate properly with each other and that wasn’t a good base for a relationship. She and Nora had decided to keep Narrow Lake and start up their own company selling water; it took a while to get off its feet but was doing well now and it also provide her the opportunity to meet Graham (again) they had been dating for a little over a year now and a little birdie (Kitty) told him the Graham was planning on asking her to marry him which made him smile; she really was glowing lately.
But not as much as when Tyler started to walk down the aisle and become a Walker. It was such as beautiful wedding and the vows that they exchanged were so beautiful and simple it reminded him of how a few years ago he and Kevin got married. He turned to Kevin and they shared a small smile.
The thing he was starting to realize was that he has never been this happy before; since meeting Kevin each year was better than the last (though they might have their bumps along the way); the dream was demonstrating the after happiness he is always waiting for a disaster to strike because it should be illegal to be this happy. The cafe was doing great; the opening night there was a guy called Marcus but he was in his late sixties; still gay though but now sitting next to Saul; which means hearing the name Marcus was the easiest thing to do now. Kevin had tried his hand at family law but just didn’t enjoy it but he did open his own practice in business and contract law and with Sarah and Nora as clients it didn’t take long to have more clients and the need for larger offices and hired help. Kevin realized that he was a lawyer; plain and simple and that was the only thing he wanted to be but what he wanted was the being recognised for the work he didn’t; becoming his own boss meant that he didn’t have to try so hard and hide so much of his self either; so he loved it.
Scotty looked around at his family and he loved every single one of them; through the good and the bad they were a family and he never felt so much at home.
The End
