There’s no where you can hide

Summary: What happened in between Justin talking to Scotty and Justin turning up with Daniel in his arms at Cafe 429

“This is the second time we’ve lost this baby; he’s our son we can’t give up on him. But we can’t keep putting ourselves through this”

The words keep go over and over in his head. Kevin’ face when he saw him; he looked crushed and defeated. Scotty face mirrored that feeling with the added worry of the effect it was having on Kevin health; worried about his blood pressure.

Justin just couldn’t believe that the Michelle he had meet was the same person that would; lie to everyone about the miscarriage, she would run away with the baby and when they found out said lie she would still try to keep the baby. She really was a monster and deserved to be in jail; not just for 20 years but forever, for the pain and suffering she had put on Kevin and Scotty.

He was angry with Michelle but not as angry or hurt as Kevin or Scotty; he still had his head on his shoulder. What they seemed to forget was that they knew Michelle; knew her enough to find her in the city without contacting the police or a private investigator. He might not have been able to find her in the previous places he went to but he was certain that he would find her before the end of the night.

He was trying the local park that she always used to love to go to with her boyfriend (presume ex now) for picnics; she had talked about how after a stressful time, the environment around her would calm her down.

He got out of his car and started to look around the park and he spotted her; her and Daniel under a tree. He decides that running over and grabbing the baby boy would probable draw the wrong attention; it wasn’t too late but it was starting to get dark. He didn’t want to scare either of them; he also didn’t want to steal the baby from her and cause troubles for Kevin or Scotty.

He walked slowly and deliberately towards Michelle.

Michelle didn’t even look up to the approaching figure until he started to cause a shadow over her.

“Justin” she said when she did look up to him; she looked immediately to Daniel and Justin let her grab hold of him and put him in her arms. He knew he had to approach her, a certain way and then if that didn’t work he would call the cops from where they were until he had Daniel safe.

“Michelle” Justin said sternly.

“You can’t take him away from me” Michelle said holding Daniel tightly.

“I’m not going to” Justin said and Michelle let out a sign of relief “you are going to give him to me” he continued.

“Why...” Michelle said stumbling over her words “why...would I...I do that” not really wanting to know the answer “he is my son”.

“Because” Justin said leaning down to carefully touch his nephew “he isn’t your son. You know that, I know that, everyone knows that... you’ve already kept him anyway from his fathers’ long enough. And they went through hell because of that” he said trying to reason with her.

“But I gave birth to him; he belongs with me. He grew in me and that should mean something” Michelle said trying to reason or explain her actions to Justin.

“It does mean something; it means that you were the surrogate of your best friend; you knew what you were doing when you suggest it” Justin said “you asked them to the surrogate; so you would be able to follow your dream and they would be able to follow theirs” he continues looking at Daniel.

Michelle looks guilt at that thought; she was able to follow her dream and start another dream that she didn’t know she wanted until she felt him inside her “But...” she starts though she has no words inside her to say.
 

“But what, Michelle, you know there is nothing you can say or do that will make anything right; the closest thing you can do is give them their son back” Justin said trying to hit all the points; making her realize that she had no choice.
 

“I told Scotty if he tried to take him anyway from me I’d disappear again” Michelle said wondering why she hadn’t already but she didn’t know what to do; or more like how she would do it without Kevin or Scotty finding her. She also missed Scotty (and Kevin) and she hated looking over her shoulder “Daniel needs me”
 

“You mean that you need Daniel” Justin confronts her with the truth.
 

Michelle looked at Daniel and knew it was the truth; she needed him but did he need her, the question kept going around in her head.
 

Justin knew at that point he was getting closer to Michelle giving him Daniel.

“Michelle” Justin said calmly “you have to give me Daniel and then leave here”.
 

“Scotty said we could work something out” Michelle said shaking because she knows deep down that Scotty was just saying that to make sure she wouldn’t leave; that he wouldn’t lose his son, again.
 

“You know the truth is that if you were feeling this way; you could have talked about it with Kevin and Scotty. You could have explained yourself, they would have been there for you like they are for everyone else” Justin said “they wouldn’t have cut you out of his life; you would have become an honouree auntie but you didn’t. You did the complete opposite; you cut them out of his life and him out of theirs. Even worse is you told them he was dead, they grieved for his death and it nearly tore them apart; Kevin was close to never wanting a family again after the miscarriage”
 

“But he and their do now” Michelle says remembering when she bumped into them getting ice cream “they have a daughter now, Olivia, and what you want to take my son anyway from me” she said holding Daniel tightly.
 

“They have Olivia because they wanted to give a kid who had been through hell the chance of a normal life. They were willing to take any kid so that they could have a family because they had lost their family just like those kids had” Justin explained the way he understood the situation.
 

“I could still take Daniel and run” Michelle said knowing with each passing second that it wasn’t going to happen; Justin wouldn’t let her.
 

“Say you do” Justin says hypothetically “say you manage to leave this park without me calling the police; how far do you think you will get” he asks.
 

Michelle looks scared and doesn’t answer Justin.
 

“Kevin and Scotty are in a bad place right now” Justin said “they just found out what you did. Think things through Michelle; I was able to find you here and I don’t know you that well compare to Kevin let alone Scotty. You and Scotty have know each other basically your whole lives; he could find you” Justin says confidently.
 

“I could...” Michelle starts but she still doesn’t know what she wants to say.
 

“You could what Michelle” Justin said softly still not wanting to scare her “you could hide away for your friends and family and everywhere you loved to go. Michelle it’s time to stop hiding. You’ve been hiding since you lied about the miscarriage and Scotty knew there was something wrong and tracked you down. Believe me when I say that there’s no where you can hide now that they know about Daniel; they will find you, take Daniel and you will be thrown in jail. You know I don’t know if Scotty mentioned to you about the time when Tommy went on the run and in hiding; he went to Mexico. No one had any idea where he was for months; until we decided we needed to see him and then through our families connections” well Roberts really but he was sure Kitty would still have the same pull “we found him in a few hours and we were there to drag him home again. Our family will do anything for our family; and Daniel is part of our family”.
 

Michelle looked down at Daniel and knew she had no choice; she started to lift him towards Justin and changed her mind and pulled him to her for one kiss before carrying on her previous motions.
 

“I’m going to jail now, right” Michelle said in more of a statement than a question.
 

“You should and I want you to be but I doubt that Scotty or Kevin will be too worried about that now that they have Daniel back. Kevin will forget about it all once he sees his son” Justin knows that it was true.
 

“But how will you explain about getting Daniel back” Michelle asks; she was glad that Justin wasn’t going to send her to jail though she knew she actually should be.
 

“I will” Justin thinks about it for a few second “tell them you came to my place and put him in my arms and left without saying a word”.
Michelle thinks about it for a few seconds before saying “I don’t think that will work, it doesn’t sound like something I would do; especially after want I said to Scotty” she was shaking her head.
 

“Michelle, as soon as they see him they won’t care” Justin said picking up the carrier for Daniel and putting him in it before pulling out his phone and calling a taxi. He hoped he would be okay in the carrier in a taxi. There was no way he could take him in his car. He’d have to pick up his car later.

I kind of enjoyed the rat one - which is why I didn't wanted to post this - then Marcela told me too anyway.

Thanks - nothing about the whole SL made any sense to me at all - why they didn't manage to catch her at the airport is beside me especially since she had gone through security - not good in my opinion.

Thanks - Justin really was the hero this season to me which is weird because i didn't like him in the last two season (I blame Rebecca) :)
