First two kind of obvious why I wanted to watch them - Matthew Rhys
The Abduction Club - This was actually must better than I thought it would be, I love that era as well so it really appealed to me. Though the ending was predictable it was sweet and a good humoured film. Had the kind of feel of a Carry On movie (British classics) but still kept a more serious tone needed to tell the story.
Love and Disasters- For a while at the beginning I wondered if Brittany Murphy was doing a very bad English accent but thank god they explained it at some point; that was needed for me. This was a great film - and I loved the way it was directed, acted and the story - though predictable ending was so sweet it just work as a very little hearten movie to watch; I could easily watch again.
The Social Network- Now, this, this was a disappointment to me, one word to describe this move would be BORING. I couldn't even watch the whole thing. Pretty much all I have to say about it.
Arctic Blast- Watched for two reasons: Michael Shanks and it's a disaster movie. As a emergency planning student with an environmental background I love to watch these movies. Though I don't believe this will ever happen I can really enjoy it because of that - plus some of the special effects are just plain bad but the acting is good - and they managed to name some of the ozone gases - clever them. But all this worry about the gases and that everything is our fault really annoys me; yes we need to be more sustainable but we're taking it one step to far in my opinion. Anyway back to the film, story was intriguing - though for once I would like the couple not to get back together - switch five year from the ending and they would have got a divorce like they planned at the beginning of the movie because he quit his job and he ends up resenting her because of it.
X-Men: First Class- I don't know what I expected from this movie but I enjoyed it - actors were great and it's nice to have the background of the older mutants explained, I def like Hank/Beast the best in my opinion. Though I hope they don't do anymore - they might starti to kill the franchise like they nearly did with X-Men: The Last Stand
