Summary: What if Kevin was the one to get Amnesia

Elsewhere in the hospital

“Rebecca, wait up” Justin says running ignoring the calls from his mother “we need to talk.”

“Justin, you don’t understand, I DON’T want to talk” Rebecca says angrily.

Suddenly they both hear an alarm coming, and know without even looking that it’s coming from Holly’ room. They start running to the room, looking around as the doctors and nurses are also running to her room.

“Mum” Rebecca says shaking, crying and trying to get into the room.

“Sorry but you need to leave the room, now” Annie says regrettable in a kind voice, whilst gently pushing David, Rebecca and Justin towards the family. Poor family Annie thinks; with so many of their family in the hospital. At least they have a huge support system it seems – they might need it.

Justin tries to hug and take hold of Rebecca but she pushes him away and goes to David in tears “Dad”. No words are needed between the daughter and father; they hold each other, cry and pray for the Holly to be okay.

In Holly’s room the doctors and nurses have surrounded the bed trying to save her live. One of the doctors’ shouts “Clear” and everyone moves back whilst he shocks her. There is no heartbeat registering on the machine. The doctor turns up the voltage and shouts “Clear” still nothing register. He turns it up one more time knowing that it could be the last attempt.

Meanwhile in Robert’ room

Jason walks into the room and sees Kitty sleeping on the sit by the bed. He decides to stay stood up and goes over to talk to Robert; he heard it’s a good thing to talk to people that are in comas.

He walks over to Robert and says “Hi bro, how you doing, kind of a silly question I know”. Jason just stands there looking at Robert not really knowing what to say, he decides it might be better to just leave. He turns to walk out the door then realising want he was doing he goes over to get another chair and sits down next to the another side of the bed.

He sits there in silence for the longest time not knowing what to say.

“Robert, I’m angry” Jason says calmly “I don’t understand how god could let this happen. Take you away from your children, your wife and me. I know that he has a plan for everything but I just don’t understand it this time. I haven’t had such a miscommunication with god since...well don’t need to talk about that”.

Kitty starts to wake up with the sense that someone else is in the room she looks up and sees Jason and says “Oh, hi Jason”.

Jason looks up from Robert to see Kitty “Oh, Kitty, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you up, I’m sorry I just needed to talk to him” he says regretfully.

“That’s okay, I talk to him too” says Kitty understandable.

At that point Sarah and Saul walk in and go and hug both Kitty and Jason.

Hi, how is Robert doing?” Sarah says softly, she squeezes Kitty’ hand in a show of support and understanding

“Did you hear the news about Kevin?” Saul says quietly as if not to wake up Robert for some reason.

“Yeah, mum told me earlier” Kitty said with a quick smile.

“What news about Jason?” Jason says slightly worried but by the look on everyone he is expecting good news.

“Oh, Kevin woke up for a few minutes earlier today, the doctors are starting to be hopeful about his progress” Saul says smiling.

“Kitty, have you had any food today, we just had to force Scotty to eat, are we going to have force you too” Sarah says jokingly but with the undertone of being serious.

“No, I um had something to eat for breakfast” Kitty says.

“I don’t think that counts Kitty” Jason says with brotherly love “I stay here if that’s what you’re worried about” at this point Sarah phone rings.

“Ah, its mum, better answer it” Sarah says, everyone can only here Sarah’ side of the conversation “Hi mum. Where am I, I’m in Roberts room with Kitty, Uncle Saul and Jason. What, Really? How is Scotty doing? Oh, no I understand that reaction. Yeah I’ll ask Jason to stay here for now.” Jason looks at Sarah when he his name mentioned.

Sarah looks worried not sure how much she should tell the other; especially Jason.

“Um, Kevin is awake again, Mum’s wondering if Kitty could come see him, do you mind staying here to keep an eye on Robert” Sarah says, Kitty looks like she’s about to debate but one look at her sister she know it’s serious.

“Okay, so you stay here Jason and we will back soon, okay?” Sarah says to confirm that Jason’ going to stay, not wondering around the hospital.

Jason nods his understanding.

The other three walk out of the room and in the hall way out of Jason’s hearing Kitty says “What is going on Sarah?”

Sarah not sure what to says decides to keep it simple “We’ve got to find Scotty”.
